My precious Caleb

Well February was one of the most precious months out of the year.
It started out with Jonathan and I celebrating our 7th year anniversary!! I still miss him like crazy when he's not around, and love being around him ALL THE TIME!! He is the BEST, for real!!
I love him=) it's that simple.
A week and a half into February, I have a Doctor's appointment to see if I have progressed and was ready to pick a date to be induced. So, I go to the doctor on February 11th and she said everything looks great and how about you go ahead and admit yourself into the hospital today and have the baby tomorrow? I am 11 days from my due date, so I say OK, let's do it, even though in the back of my mind I am kinda like "NOW? For real?"
We rush home frantically while I'm on the phone calling my mom, then my sister and then my sister-in-law. At the same time Jonathan is calling his mom saying, "Are you ready to keep Nathan and Clayton, because it's time". So I pack like a mad woman(because I had nothing really prepared ahead of time). A bag for me, one for Caleb, one for the to-be big brother's, it was nuts! Here I am standing outside of the hospital, excited to go in and have a snow baby!

So I get admitted, I get the backless gown on, I get my blood drawn, I get my IV in, I answer the 100 questions from the nurse, and she comes back to inform me that my doctor has called and said, "Since my BP is fine and bloodwork looks fine, have her come in Monday, the 15th to her office and we'll induce the next day!" WHAT!?!?!? Are you for real? It was really sad leaving the hospital, especially with so much crazy anticipation in such a short amount of time. Caleb continued to swim.
So, after the longest couple of days ever I go to the office and she tells me that the hospital had been experiencing power outages from the crazy snow in yes of all places, TEXAS, and my doctor, while driving home, had slid out a couple of times and the news had said more snow was going to fall, so she felt it would be safer to wait since there was no immediate reason to induce. She apologized quite a bit, and I understood.
On a side note I did get to join a facebook page called Thursday, February 11th, the day it snowed 6+ inches in North Texas.
The next day, February 16th, I go to the hospital at 5:30am! Again, are you kidding me? I am not a morning person at all! With more time to prepare this time, I am ready, all my bags are packed, big brothers are already sleeping at Granny and Papa's house. It's go time!
Okay, so here I am at home, getting ready to head to the hospital.

I get there and they do all the needles and questions, and start the pitocin, to induce labor, and I wait for a little bit.
My doctor arrives a couple hours into it to break my water and I wait a little more.
I begin having light contractions for about an hour and then they become stronger. At 11:15am, I sit up to get my epidural, at this point the pain is almost unbearable. As they lay me back down on my back, I tell the nurse I have an intense urge to push. I have never felt that with Nathan or Clayton. The nurse tells me to resist and calm down. I begin to shake a little bit and breath rapidly. The monitor on my belly looses Caleb's heartbeat, the nurse tries to put a head monitor on with no success. I am kinda wigging out at this point, literally. She calls for my doctor and says she needs help.
My mother, in the waiting room sees my doctor running past her. My doctor gets there, sees the situation and immediately tells me to push. I do my best, but Caleb is not responding, so she literally sucked Caleb out and saved his life. He did not cry for a few seconds, which always seems like an eternity, but he was a trooper and had not problems at all!! He was born at exactly 11:30am.
6 hours in the hospital and he was here! He weighed 7 pounds 5 ounces and was 21 1/4 inches long. He had lots of dark brown hair. I immediately fell in love<3
Here's the first pic of me and Caleb.

Jonathan, for all three of our boys, has always stood by my side the whole way through. He stays with me in the hospital every night, gets up with the baby and changes them and takes care of me too. He is the best Daddy to our boys and an awesome husband to me. We are a pretty good team. I'm lucky to have a man that genuinely loves his family.

My mom, who was in the waiting room, was first to see him, and my sister arrived very shortly after.
I like to call her Auntie Em, I think it's sweet, even though she hates it. Sorry!

Less than an hour later I am in my recovery room, and the boys arrive to finally meet their new baby brother.  Nathan and Clayton were proud Big Brothers. They were so sweet to him.

We had more friends and family come to see our precious boy.
My dad, sister-in-law, Granny and Papa, my brother-in law and his wife, and many friends from our church! We love412CC!!
Were finally given the okay to go home, and we were ready.
